Our one-day course in SIA Emergency First Aid at Work covers each one of the new SIA requirements, from treating burns and eye injuries to application of a tourniquet and haemostatic dressings. We also teach you the best way to deal with catastrophic bleeding, how to pack wounds, treat minor injuries, cuts, grazes and bruises, non-catastrophic bleeding, minor burns and scalds, and go over assessing an incident and managing an unresponsive casualty.
The cost of our one-day SIA top up course is just £115 per person. If you are booking as a group, the price can be as low as under £42 per person, depending on the number of people taking part.

Priced at an extremely affordable £115 per person for individuals and as low as under £42 per person for groups depending on the number of people taking part, the one-day course also includes Basic Life Support (BSL), including how to administer rescue breaths, use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), and Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), including Adult CPR and Children’s CPR, and how to deal with choking, seizures and shock.
You can’t do the SIA first aid course online
The SIA’s stipulations include being trained in practical areas such as CPR, the application of a tourniquet, treating burns and eye injuries, catastrophic bleeding and packing of wounds.
But, most importantly, it stipulates that you were assessed face to face. Online courses aren’t enough.
Authentic Training is staffed by experienced trainers who specialise in first aid training 52 weeks a year – we’re not just adding a first-aid course to our list as a result of the new regulations.
Another stipulation is that your Emergency First Aid at Work or FAW qualification has been awarded by an organisation regulated by Ofqual, SQA, Qualifications Wales or CCEA, by a voluntary aid society or a training provider and that it has delivered a programme meeting HSE requirements for delivery of EFAW or FAW.
Authentic Training is a specialist training provider registered with OFQUAL, and our Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is fully accredited on the RQF (Regulated Qualifications Framework) at Level 3.
You can come to us at our training centre in Kirkby, or we can come to you: we’re happy to travel to your offices or another place of your choosing to deliver the course. Depending on the number of people taking part, the one-day course can cost as little as under £42 per person if booked en bloc. We are also flexible about whether we deliver the training during the day or during the evening.
